Assignment Thrashing Workflow & System Flow Mapping

This project addressed a critical workflow gap within the WebAssign Faculty Dashboard concerning the deletion and management (thrashing) of assignments. My role focused on establishing the foundational understanding required to design a seamless, error-free feature.

The new design provides a unified, sophisticated, and trustworthy experience, significantly improving user discoverability, purchase confidence, and the foundational stability necessary for future digital growth and international expansion.

— Led the strategic UX and site architecture overhaul for the new digital Marketplace. This involved synthesizing business objectives with deep consumer needs analysis to develop a scalable design system and intuitive user flows. The design solution balanced contemporary e-commerce standards with the classic aesthetic integrity required by the brand's heritage, ultimately establishing a platform that signaled stability, renewed trust, and accessibility.

The following options were presented for the Landing Page redesign:

User and System Flows:

Developed detailed System Flowcharts and User Flows to articulate the necessary backend logic and frontend interactions, serving as the blueprint for both the engineering and product teams.

Requirements Gathering (Functional & Non-Functional)

Collaborated with stakeholders to define precise system requirements, ensuring the new design would support various academic contexts (e.g., handling assignments with associated student data vs. drafts).

Task Analysis

Conducted a comprehensive analysis to map the current, inefficient manual process faculty used to 'thrash' assignments. This identified key pain points, decision points, and necessary system checks.
