My Journey

Passion, Balance, and Personal Drive
Outside of my professional focus, I prioritize a life rich with family and activity. I am a proud husband and father to two wonderful girls, and value being a strong friend to those around me.

My personal energy is fueled by physical activities, including playing on my men's league soccer team, weight training, and mountain biking. I am also passionate about the craft of grilling and smoking a variety of meats for my family & friends.

My deepest personal roots are tied to North Carolina's Crystal Coast (SOBX), where I cherish the memories of growing up surfing. I'm a Dreamer in a since - "I don't need therapy, I just need a surf session."

Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications
The mission is to provide educational opportunities that will enable students to become competent in the theory and practice of visual art. The department emphasizes technical proficiency, conceptual understanding, increased awareness of the student's artistic talents, and the role of the arts in society, including experiential learning and interdisciplinary opportunities.

This innovative degree unites traditional fine arts—such as painting, drawing, and printmaking—with digital graphic design, offering students a rare opportunity to develop a broad, versatile skill set within a single program. By combining these two creative disciplines, the Visual Arts & Design major not only reflects the realities of today’s art and design industries, but also positions students for greater flexibility in their careers. The program streamlines pathways for students interested in both fine art expression and digital communication, making it a more efficient and attractive option for aspiring visual creators.- See more at: https://umo.edu/bs-visual-arts-and-design/
Fun Fact! I'm a former DII Athlete
That's right, you're probably asking yourself why the University of Mount Olive? My college years were spent on the soccer field at UMO. I was fortunate enough to play on a four-year, full-ride scholarship, which taught me that hard work and perseverance can lead to amazing things. Just like on the field, I believe in being a team player who is dedicated to the goal.
